Explanation of the endorsement
Endorsement 7839:
Only applicable if required by the import permit.
If required, visual inspection by Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from Eucalyptus borers (Phorocantha spp.).
Timber which has been heat or kiln dried will require appropriate evidence, to be presented to the Authorised Officer demonstrating the following:
A core temperature of the consignment is maintained at or above 56 degrees Celsius for minimum 30 minutes. Treatment time does not commence until the temperature in the chamber have stabilized and the core temperature of the consignment has reached at least 56 degrees Celsius.
If stated on the import permit consignments not treated prior to export will undergo fumigation with Methyl Bromide of filleted or otherwise separated layers, at 80 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 21 degrees Celsius (minimum), upon arrival in Malaysia. Refer to import permit for details on treatment on arrival.

Fumigation with:
Methyl bromide
- 64 grm/m3 at 11-15 degrees Celsius for 24 hours;

- 48 grm/m3 at 21 degrees Celsius or above for 24 hours;
OR
Sulfuryl Fluoride
- 64 grm/m3 at 21 degree Celsius or above for 24 hours;
OR
Ethylene oxide under initial minimum vacuum of 50 kilopascals
- 1500 grm/m3 at 50 degree Celsius for 5 continuous hours;
OR
- 1200 grm/m3 at 50 degree Celsius for 5 continuous hours;
OR
- 1500 grm/m3 at 21 degree Celsius for 24 continuous hours;
OR
Phosphine
- 5 grm/m3 for 120 hours.
OR
Cyanogen (C2N2)
- 100 grm/m3 for 24 hours.
