Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 1763:

Is applicable when country of origin is Peru, Brazil, Honduras, Guatemala, Columbia or any other country specified on the import permit.

No Additional Declarations are required when countries of origin are:

  • Ethiopia;
  • Papua New Guinea- India;
  • Any other country specified on the import permit.

Treatments are dependent on the country of origin of the commodity. Refer to the import permit for correct treatment details.

No treatment is required when countries of origin are:

  • Ethiopia;
  • Papua New Guinea;
  • Any other country specified on the import permit.

Country of origin is India or anyother country where Khapra beetle (troderma granarium) is persent - Refer to the import permit for details:

Fumigation with:

  • methyl bromide at 80 grm/m3 for 48 hours at 21 degree Celsius or above at normal atmospheric pressure;

OR

  • phosphine at 5 grm/m3 for 120 hours at 15 degree Celsis or above.

Countries of orign are Peru, Brazil, Honduras, Guatemala, Columbia or any other country specified on the import permit with fumigation teatment as follows:

Fumigation with:

  • methyl bromide at 48 grm/m3 for 24 hours at 21 degree Celsius or above at normal atmospheric;

OR

  • phosphine at 3 grm/m3 for 120 hours at 15 degree Celsius or above.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
