ICR does not include the following citrus varieties:

  • Lime - Citrus aurantifolia
  • Pomelo - Citrus maxima
  • Kaffir lime - Citrus hystrix
  • Satsuma orange - Citrus unshiu

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material, including fruit flies.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


The Phytosanitary certificate must be issued within fourteen (14) days prior to export. The import permit number is to be included in the import permit section of the Phytosanitary certificate.

Malaysian Department of Agriculture recognises citrus greening disease (Liberibacter spp.) is not present in Australia. No additional declaration is required.

Consignment will be subject to post-entry quarantine upon arrival.

1) A representative sample of this consignment was inspected and found free of Queensland fruit fly (Bactrocera tryoni), Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata), Northern Territory fruit fly (Bactrocera aquilonis), Cucumber fruit fly (Bactrocera cucumis) and Mango fruit fly (Bactrocera frauenfeldi).
