Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Plants must not be taller than 1.5 metres and not older than 2 years and must have been derived from parent plants produced by Auscitrus.

Seedlings must be transported in media which is free from soil and separated by variety in batches of no more than 100 seedlings.  Each batch must be placed on new and clean pallets, wrapped on the side by clear plastic film and enclosed with a fine net OR completely enclosed in a sealed cardboard container to protect from infestation. Each container must be clearly labeled with the full botanical name (ie. genus and species).

Air freight shipment must state the importer name, the exporter name and the contact address in Lao PDR, and be clearly marked in yellow "Export from AUSTRALIA to LAO PDR, Attention Quarantine".
Consignments are to besubjected to an immersion treatment prior to export against insects and mitesand treated with a fungicide for protection during storage and shipping. 

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

1) Citrus cachexia viroid is not known to occur in Australia,
2) The parent plants have no known history of symptoms and have been managed and tested and found free from Citrus blight disease,
3) The parent plants were found free through laboratory testing of Citrus exocortis viroid, Citrus psorosis virus and Citrus tatterleaf virus.
