Explanation of the endorsements

Seeds for which South Korea is the final destination
  • A phytosanitary certificate with nil additional declaration is to be issued for seeds that will not be re-exported from Korea.
Seed which will be re-exported from South Korea
  • The exporter is to advise the Authorised Officer of the required endorsement at the time of making an appointment for inspection.
Requests by exporters for additional declarations of seed for sowing being exported to the Korea may be complied with where it is known that the seed will be re-exported to another destination from Korea through a re-export phytosanitary certificate.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Exporters who require a new EXDOC Endorsement for re-export certification purposes are to provide written evidence of the additional declarations that need to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate. Requests are to be emailed to MicorPlants@agriculture.gov.au for action.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 6255)
Additional OfficialPhytosanitary Information:
1) Candidatus liberacter solanacearum and Carrot yellow leaf virus are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Leaf blight of carrots (Alternaria dauci), Carrot mottle dwarf virus, Carrot red leaf virus, Black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv carotae) and Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv. carotae).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 7510)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) The consignment is free from Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv carotae), 
2) The consignment is free from Carrot viruses (mottle dwarf, red leaf, and yellow leaf),
3) Crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of carrot viruses,
4) A representative sample was tested and found free from Quarantine weed seeds listed in Schedule VIII of the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of import into India) Order, 2003.
5) The consignment is free from soil.

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 8209)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) The consignment is free from Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv carotae),
2) The consignment is free from Carrot viruses (mottle dwarf, red leaf, and yellow leaf),
3) Crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of carrot viruses,
4) The consignment is free from soil.
5) Crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus spp), Nematodes (Longidorus spp), and Nematode (Paratylenchus spp.).
A written submission from the Exporter for additional declarations for re-export of seeds from South Korea dated 28 April 2020, 19 May 2023, and 11 September 2025, confirmation from Post February 2021.
