A manufacturer's declaration must accompany each consignment. All manufacturer’s declarations must be issued on company letterhead by a person authorised to act on behalf of the company and include the following information:
- All stockfeed in this consignment has been produced and processed in Australia;
- Stockfeed in this consignment has been commercially processed and prepared in line with Australian export procedures and
compliance meeting importing country and Australian legislative requirements; - Stockfeed in this consignment has been heat treated. Refer to the import permit and the treatment section below for the required treatment parameters.
The manufacturer's declaration will not be endorsed by Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry but must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
If required by the import permit, stockfeed in each consignment must have been heat treated at 80 degrees Celsius or above for a duration of 15-20 seconds during processing.
Exporter is to provide manufacturer's declaration attesting to heat treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Details of treatment will not be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate if not required by import permit.
