Fruit unable to be certified in accordance with Endorsement 1904 (Fruit fly area freedom) must be treated by an appropriate method effective against fruit fly and no Additional Declaration will apply.
The consignment may be kept in ambient cold storage till the due date for export.
All consignments must be inspected for fruit fly and other insect infestation and if living insects are detected the consignment must undergo treatment either by:
- fumigation with Methyl bromide at 32 grm/m3 for 2 hours;
- cold storage at 0 to 10 degrees celsius for 16 days
Fruit unable to be certified in accordance with Endorsement 1904 (Fruit fly area freedom) must be treated by an apporpriate method effective against fruit fly.
