Consignments must be washed and free from pests, soil, weed seeds, dead or alive insects and extraneous material.
 
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
 
Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
 
Prior to export the consignment must be inspected and be declared free of quarantine pests and diseases and free form other injurious pests and diseases.
 
All packing material must be new.
 
Import permit and phytosanitary certificate must be presented at arrival. If these are not available the consignment will be detained at the port of entry at the importer’s expense.
