Explanation of the endorsements:
Endorsements 4955 and 3942:
- Karnal bunt (Tilletia indica) is not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required for endorsement of freedom from this pest.
- An area freedom or place of production freedom certificate explicitly stating that Wheat flag smut (Urocystis agropyri), Wheat nematode (Anguina tritici) and/or Spike blight of wheat (Clavibacter tritici (Syn: Corynebacterium michiganensis pv.tritici)) are not present in the area of production must be provided as supporting evidence.
Endorsements 4956, 776 and 3523:
- Karnal bunt (Tilletia indica) is not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required for endorsement of freedom from this pest.
- A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Wheat flag smut (Urocystis agropyri), Wheat nematode (Anguina tritici) and/or Spike blight of wheat (Clavibacter tritici (Syn: Corynebacterium michiganensis pv.tritici)).
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Moisture content should not exceed 13.5% (Refer to Import Permit).Foreign matter - Refer to Import Permit for maximum allowable level.

Packaging - The following material must not be used as packaging:
Banana leaves, Maize straw, Rice straw, Sorghum straw, Palm straw, Wheat straw and Leaf mould.
If any other plant residue is used as packaging material, the consignment must be accompanied by a certificate stating:
All seed, pathogens and insects have been killed before use of the material either by heating to 83 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes or by chemical treatment. The heat treatment details are to be endorsed on a Phytosanitary Certificate.
If required by the import permit, consignments are to be fumigated with an appropriate fumigant at recommended manufacturers' requirements.
Pre-export fumigation treatment
If the import permit states that treatment is to be undertaken onshore prior to export, the consignment must be fumigated before loading.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
