Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 8389:
  • Lamium mild mosaic virus and Peanut stripe virus are not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to be cited for endorsement.
  • A crop inspection report is required to endorse freedom from Leaf spot of peppers (Colletotrichum capsici), Leaf spot of grasses (Setosphaeria rostrata), Bulb rot (Rhizopus stolonifer), Broad bean wilt virus and Cowpea aphid-borne mosaic virus.
Endorsement 8390:
  • Lamium mild mosaic virus and Peanut stripe virus are not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to be cited for endorsement.
  • A laboratory testing certificate is required to endorse freedom from Leaf spot of peppers (Colletotrichum capsici), Leaf spot of grasses (Setosphaeria rostrata), Bulb rot (Rhizopus stolonifer), Broad bean wilt virus and Cowpea aphid-borne mosaic virus.

Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate seed dressing and insecticide at recommended manufacturers requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 8389)
1) Lamium mild mosaic virus and Peanut stripe virus are not known to occur in Australia.

2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free of Leaf spot of peppers (Colletotrichum capsici), Leaf spot of grasses (Setosphaeria rostrata), Bulb rot (Rhizopus stolonifer), Broad bean wilt virus and Cowpea aphid-borne mosaic virus.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 8390)
1) Lamium mild mosaic virus and Peanut stripe virus are not known to occur in Australia.

2) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Leaf spot of peppers (Colletotrichum capsici), Leaf spot of grasses (Setosphaeria rostrata), Bulb rot (Rhizopus stolonifer), Broad bean wilt virus and Cowpea aphid-borne mosaic virus.
