Grains must be polished and milled.

If the import permit requires certification in relation to extraneous material, moisture content and fit for human consumption, the exporter must provide laboratory test results as evidence that the extraneous material is not above 2% and moisture content is not above 13.5% as well as a signed written declaration that the consignment will be used for human consumption. Certification can be provided on a Certificate as to Condition (GX46) stating that "extraneous material is not above 2% and moisture content is not above 13.5% through laboratory test results" if requested by the exporter. A declaration stating that "the product described above is of Australian origin and is acceptable for sale in Australia" will also be included on the GX46. 

Statements relating to 'Fit for Human Consumption' cannot be provided on the GX46, however exporter is to provide a signed written declaration stating that the grains are fit for human consumption if the import permit includes this requirement.

Exporter must attach a lab analysis certificate showing freedom from Mycotoxin with the phytosanitary certificate when freedom from mycotoxin is required as per import permit.

The exporter to provide the evidence showing freedom from Mycotoxin to the Authorised Officer at the time of Inspection.

When freedom from mycotoxin is specified on the import permit, the statement "Refer to laboratory analysis certificate for freedom from mycotoxin" in the "Lot number" section of the EXDOC Request For Permit (RFP). There is to be no deviation from this text format.

Statement on Mycotoxin in the "Lot number" and EXDOC Endorsement No 6079 are to be only endorsed when specified on the import permit.

Packaging - The following material must not be used as packaging:
Banana leaves, Maize straw, Rice straw, Sorghum straw, Palm straw, Wheat straw and Leaf mould.
