Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Packaging must not contain the following materials: banana leaves, maize, rice, sorghum, palm, wheat straw soil or leaf mould.

Consignment to be accompanied by an original copy of the import permit and phytosanitary certificate.

Consignments are to be treated with an appropriate seed dressing at recommended manufacturers requirements.

If consignment contains any other plant residue as packing material, consignment must be accompanied by a certificate stating: all seeds, pathogens and insects have been killed before use of the material by heating to 83℃ for ten minutes or by chemical treatment.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
