Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Seed not being re-exported from Japan will be issued a phytosanitary certificate with No Additional Declarations.

Listed endorsements apply to re-export certification only i.e.: Australian seed that will be re-exported from Japan.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Requests by exporters for additional endorsements of seed for sowing being exported to Japan may be endorsed through a re-export phytosanitary certificate, where it is known that the seed will be re-exported to another destination.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 3606)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) American serpentine leaf miner (Liriomyza trifolii), Licorice rot (Mycocentrospora acerina) and Tomato black ring virus are not known to occur in Australia.
2) A representative sample was inspected and found to be free of fruit fly (Ceratitis spp) and Garden snail (Helix aspersa).
3) Crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of rag weed (Ambrosia spp), Bacterial stock rot (Erwinia chrysanthemi), Needle nematode (Longidorus (spp), root rot nematode (Meloidogyne spp.), Arabis mosaic virus, Nematode (Paratrichodorus spp), Nematode (Pratylenchus spp), Halo blight on bean pods (Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. phaseolicola), Baterial speck of tomato (Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato), Burrowing nematode (Radopholus similes), Tomato spotted wilt virus and Free living nematode (Trichodorus spp).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 3614)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium), Tomato black ring virus and Tomato Ring Spot virus are not known to occur in Australia.
2) Crop was inspected at active growth and found to be free of Arabis mosaic virus, Lettuce mosaic virus, Lettuce yellow mosaic virus, Bacterial blight of endive (Pseudomonas chicorii), Apical chlorosis (Pseudomonas syringae pv. tagetis), Bacterial gall (Rhizobium rhizogenes), Leafy gall fasciation (Rhodococcus fascians), Sclerotinia rot (Sclerotinia minor), Lettuce septoria blight (Septoria lactucae), Tobacco ring spot virus, Tomato spotted wilt virus, Verticillium rot (Verticillium albo‑atrum), Baterial leaf spot (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vitians), Italian rye grass (Lolium multiforum), Common broomrape (Orobanche minor) and Lactuce mosaic potyvirus,
3) A representative sample was inspected and found to be free of Soybean Looper (Chrysodeixis includens) and Grey field slug (Deroceras reticulatum).

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 5401)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) Tomato black ring virus is not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Bacterial leaf spot (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vitians), Arabis mosaic virus, Lettuce mosaic virus (LMV), Tobacco ringspot virus, Broomrap (Orobanche spp) and witchweed (Striga spp).

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 2644)
Additional Official Phytosanitary Information:
1) The crop was inspected at active growth and found to be free of Arabis mosaic virus.
