If required by the import permit, consignments must be accompanied by an Orange International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) Certificate.
Consignments are to be treated with:
- Carboxin and Thiram at 5 litres/tonne of seed; and
- Metalaxyl (WP) 25% at 0.5% OR Mefonoxam 0.05%;
OR
- Fludioxonil at 0.025 grams/1kilogram of seed; and
- Metalaxyl-M at 0.2 grams/1kilogram of seed;
OR
- Fludioxonil 2.5%; and
- Metalaxyl-M 1%;
OR
- Metalaxyl at 20 grams/litre; and
- Prothioconazole at 100 grams/litre
OR
- Any other appropriate fungicide at recommended manufacturer/label rates.

1) Maize ergot (Claviceps gigantea), Stewart's disease (Erwinia stewartii), Maize chlorotic mottle virus and Maize dwarf mosaic virus are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Northern corn leaf spot (Cochliobolus carbonum), Southern leaf blight of corn (Cochliobolus heterostrophus), Anthracnose (Colletotrichum graminicola), Ear rot of corn (Stenocarpella maydis), Diplodia leaf spot (Stenocarpella macrospora), Downy mildew of wheat (Sclerophthora macrospora ), Sugar cane mosaic virus, Wheat high plains virus and Wheat streak mosaic virus,
3) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Argentine stem weevil (Listronotus bonariensis).
