Explanation of the endorsement
Endorsement 7624:
- Pea enation mosaic virus is not known to occur in Australia. No supporting evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
- A crop inspection report is required to endorse freedom from from Mycosphaerella blight of peas (Ascochyta pinodes), Bacterial blight of pea (Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi), Pea seed-borne mosaic virus.
- A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial blight of pea (Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi).
Consignments are to be treated with:
- Phospine at 2grm/m3 for 96 hours at 15 degrees Celsius or above;
- Carboxin and Thiram (Vitavax 200) at 3 litres/ton of seed;
- Carbendazim 0.03% and Thiram 2grm/kgm of seed;
- Metalaxyl-M, Fludioxonil and translaminar Cymoxanil (Wakil XL) at recommended manufacturers requirements
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 7624)
1) Pea enation mosaic virus is not known to occur in Australia;
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Mycosphaerella blight of peas (Ascochyta pinodes), Bacterial blight of pea (Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi), Pea seed-borne mosaic virus;
3) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Bacterial blight of pea (Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi).
