These import conditions apply to seed of Turkey origin only. To export seeds of Australian origin please contact Israel's NPPO for an Import Permit. 

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Exporter must provide a copy of the phytosanitary certificate issued by the Turkish NPPO as evidence attesting to the origin of the seed and present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

Seeds must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate from Turkey with an area freedom declaration for Fusarium circinatum.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.



Explanation of Endorsements

Endorsement 6507:
  • A laboratory analysis certificate must be provided as evidence that the seeds have been tested and found free from Needle cast fungi.
Endorsement 6508:
  • An inspection certificate of mother plants field inspection must be provided for proof of freedom from Needle cast fungi.

Notes:

  • Israel has been issuing import permits with varying import conditions. Some permits require additional declarations and others do not. A phytosanitary certificate with or without additional declarations will be issued depending on the import permit.
  • Exporters are required to refer to the import permit for endorsements when raising an RFP.
  • These import conditions are applicable to seeds of Australian or Turkish origin only unless specified on the import permit.
Consignments are to be fumigated with Phosphine at 2gm/m3 for 96 hours.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 6507)
1) The consignment was found free from Needle cast fungi through official lab testing.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 6508)
1) The mother plants were inspected during the last growing season and found free from Needle cast fungi.
