Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be accompanied with an Orange ISTA certificate confirming a minimum seed viability of 80% and a minimum seed purity of 97% .
Consignment to be fungicide treated with:

  • Captan at 2.5grm/kg, Captan 50% DP;

OR

  • Thiram at 3grm/kg, Thiram 50%DP

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 4897)
1) Eyespotis (Drechslera gigantea), Witches broom (Balansia spp) and Graminicola downy mildew (Sclerospora graminicola) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Witch weed (Striga spp), White tip nematode (Aphelenchoides besseyi), Fusarium root rot (Fusarium spp), Rice smut (Tilletia barclayana), Smut (Tilletia maclaganil), Loose smut (Ustilago spp) and Bacterial blight (Pseudomonas syrynage),
3) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Rye ergot (Claviceps purpurea).
