Permitted entry without an accompanying Phytosanitary certificate.

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


The consignment must be accompanied by a Certificate of Origin.

Chickpeas are prescribed grains and still require an Authorised Officer inspection and the issuance of an export permit. 

Due to variations in NPPO definitions, a Phytosanitary certificate may be issued if requested (and subject to Phytosanitary inspection of the consignment). If a Phytosanitary certificate is issued, the endorsement shall be Nil Additional Declaration.

Any variation to these requirements shall only be if an Import permit is presented and has been assessed by Plant Export Operations.
