Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Note:
  • Freedom from Witchweed (Striga spp) must be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate. A crop inspection report (2116 or 2141), area of production statement from the respective state department (2138 or 2165) or laboratory analysis certificate (3215 or 3229) is required.
  • Freedom from Crown and Root rot (Phytophthora cinnamomi) must be via laboratory analysis certificate. This test can be done prior to export and be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate ( 2116, 2138 or 3215) or on arrival (2141, 2165 or 3229) as per import permit.
Consignments are to be fumigated with:
  • phosphine at 2 grm/m3 for 4 days at 15 degrees Celsius or above prior to shipment;
OR
  • Consignment may be treated upon arrival as per import permit.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 2116)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of Witchweed (Striga spp).
2) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Crown and Root rot (Phytophthora cinnamomi).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2138)
1) Witchweed (Striga spp) is known not to occur in the area of production.
2) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Crown and Root rot (Phytophthora cinnamomi).

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 2141)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of Witchweed (Striga spp).

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 2165)
1) Witchweed (Striga spp) is known not to occur in the area of production.

Option 5 (EXDOC Endorsement 3215)
1) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Witchweed (Striga spp) and Crown and Root rot (Phytophthora cinnamomi).

Option 6 (EXDOC Endorsement 3229)
1) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Witchweed (Striga spp).
