Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 7583:
  • Loose smut of barley (Ustilago segetum var. nuda) and Cephalosporium stripe (Hymenula cerealis) are not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from these pests.
  • A crop inspection certificate is required as evidence to endorse freedom from Ergots (Claviceps spp), Barley stripe mosaic virus (BSMV), Wheat nematode (Anguina tritici) and Victoria blight of oats (Bipolaris victoriae).
Note: Ustilago segetum var. nuda is a synonym of Ustilago nuda f.sp. hordei.
If required by the import permit, the seed must be treated with an appropriate fungicide and fumigant. 

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
