Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the consignment departs no more than 21 days after the phytosanitary certificate is issued. If the phytosanitary certificate is issued after consignment's departure, the departure date must be within 21 days from phytosanitary inspection.


Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 8163:
  • Exporters and authorised officers are encouraged to review the Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements for Export of Wheat Grain (Triticum aestivum L.) from Australia to the Republic of Indonesia. The protocol is available in the Documents section of Micor (Plants).
  • The protocol states that wheat must be practically free from the following pests:
    1. Granary weevil (Sitophilus granarius)
    2. Ergot (Claviceps purpurea)
    3. Red stalk rot of cereals (Colletotrichum graminicola)
    4. Kernel rot of maize (Fusarium sporotrichioides)
    5. Bud rot (Gibberella avenacea)
    6. Gibberella stalk rot (Gibberella zeae)
    7. Downy mildew of wheat (Sclerophthora macrospora)
    8. Bacterial leaf blight (Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae)
  • Visual inspection by an authorised officer is sufficient for Endorsement 8163.

1) This is to certify that this consignment is in accordance with the Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements for Export of Wheat Grain (Triticum aestivum L.) from Australia to the Republic of Indonesia.

Phytosanitary certificate dated 5 May2014 and NPPO advice dated 21 November 2024, protocol implemented from 15 August 2025. Advice from the NPPO received via Agriculture Counsellor on 16 December 2025 and 4 February 2026.
