Shallots sourced from outside of the area free of Bud and leaf nematode (Aphelenchoides fragariae), Potato rot nematode (Ditylenchus destructor), White fringed weevil (Graphognathus leucoloma), Western flower thrips (Frankliniella accidentalis), and Throne's root lesion nematode (Ditylenchus destructor) must undego irradiation or fumigation
For Bud and leaf nematode, and Potato rot nematode
• Gamma irradiation at a maximum of 70 Gray; OR
• Methyl bromide fumigation at 40g/m3 for 2 hours at temperature of 26 - 31 degrees Celsius; OR
• Methyl bromide fumigation at 32g/m3 for 2 hours at temperature of 32 - 35 degrees Celsius; OR
• Methyl bromide fumigation at 16g/m3 for 2 hours at temperature of 26 - 31 degrees Celsius
For White fringed weevil (Graphognathus leucoloma), Western flower thrips (Frankliniella accidentalis), and Throne's root lesion nematode (Ditylenchus destructor)
