Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the consignment departs no more than 21 days after the phytosanitary certificate is issued. If the phytosanitary certificate is issued after consignment's departure, the departure date must be within 21 days from phytosanitary inspection.

Phytosanitary certificates should not be issued for plant products that have been processed in such a way that they have no potential for introducing regulated pests
