Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the consignment departs no more than 21 days after the phytosanitary certificate is issued. If the phytosanitary certificate is issued after consignment's departure, the departure date must be within 21 days from phytosanitary inspection.

Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 7342:
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from Couch grass (Agropyron repens), Black-grass (Alopecurus myosuroides), Onion weed (Asphodelus fistulosus), Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense), Doublegee (Emex australis), Barley flower (Parthenium hyterophorus), Chinese violet (Asystasia gangetica), Colombian wackweed (Cuphea carthagenensis), Praxelis (Praxelis clematidea) and Pigeonberry (Rivina humilis).
Consignments are to be treated in accordance with thetreatment requirements stated on the Import Permit.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Treatment is only to be certified to on Phytosanitary certificates where theimport decree specifically states this requirement. Import decrees sighted in which there is no specific treatment details are tobe issued with a phytosanitary certificate with no treatment details.
