Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


It is the exporter's responsibility to ensure that the consignment departs no more than 21 days after the phytosanitary certificate is issued. If the phytosanitary certificate is issued after consignment's departure, the departure date must be within 21 days from phytosanitary inspection.

If required by the import permit, consignments are to be fumigated with phostoxin at recommended manufacturer’s requirements (registered label rates).

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Treatment is only to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate when the import permit specifically states this requirement. Import permits sighted in which there is no treatment requirement are to be issued with a Phytosanitary certificate with no treatment details.
