Goods must be free of bark.
The import conditions are applicable to Wood/Bamboo Products without bark such as:
- manufactured/ finished/ handicrafts/ furniture/ joinery
- articles from carpentry (windows/doors/ shutters / photo frames/ curtain rods/boxes/ thatch etc)
- conveyances (row boats, vehicle decks, trailers etc)
- garden items
- house hold articles
- musical instruments
- sporting equipment
- tools
- toys
- flower vase
- wood fibre
- woody dry branches without bark
- cones
- baskets etc.
Consignments are to be treated with Methyl bromide at 48 grm/m3 at 21 degrees Celsius (or above) for 24 hours or above at NAP as per PQ Order 2003;

The Indian NPPO accepts the following dosage compensation from for methyl bromide fumigation applied at temperatures between 11 and 21 degrees Celsius:

The Indian NPPO accepts the following dosage compensation from for methyl bromide fumigation applied at temperatures between 11 and 21 degrees Celsius:
- 56 grm/m3 at 16-20 degrees Celsius for 24 hours at NAP;
OR
- 64 grm/m3 at 11-15 degrees Celsius for 24 hours at NAP.
Note:
- Methyl bromide fumigation is not permitted at temperatures of 10 degrees Celsius or below. Dosage compensation is not permitted for temperatures above 21 degrees Celsius;
OR
- Kiln Dried at 56 degree Celsius (wood core temperature) for 30 minutes;
OR
- Heat treated at 56 degree Celsius (wood core temperature) for 30 minutes;
OR
- Irradiated at 25 kGray.
