Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Each consignment is to be fumigated with Aluminum phosphide at 9 grm/tonne for 5 days or more.

Fumigation with Aluminum phosphide at 9 grm/tonne(Considering the density of wheat flour to be 0.561 tonne/m3, a dosage of 1.70grm/m3 of phosphine would be equivalent to 9 grm of Aluminum phosphidetablet/tonne). Three Aluminum phosphide tablets (3 grm of each tablet) per tonneare to be used for meeting Indian fumigation requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Note: When fumigated at 1.7 grm phosphine/m3 (using aluminum phosphide tablets), 9 grm aluminum phosphide/tonne will be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate to meet India's quarantine requirements stipulated in Plant Quarantine Order 2003.
