Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Soybean cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines), Broad bean mottle virus, Broad bean necrosis virus, Broad bean stain comovirus, and Broad bean true mosaic virus are not known to occur in Australia. Freedom from these pests may be endorsed without citing supporting evidence.

Broad bean wilt virus 1 and Broad bean wilt virus 2 and not found on the seed export pathway. Freedom from these pests may be endorsed without citing supporting evidence.

A laboratory test report, area freedom certificate or crop inspection report must be cited for endorsing freedom from Ascochyta blight (ascochyta fabae) and Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci).

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
