Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Explanation of the endorsement:

     Endorsement 1308
  • Pea cyst nematode (Heterodera goettingiana), Pea early-browning virus, Pea enation mosaic virus and Pea green mottle virus are not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to be cited for endorsement.
  • Pod and stem blight (Phomopsis longicolla) has not been detected on Pisum sativum in Australia with no evidence to support that it is seedborne in Pisum sativum. Freedom may be endorsed from Phomopsis longicolla without citing any supporting evidence. A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci).
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from Bruchids (Bruchidius spp and Specularis impressithorax).
  • All consignments must be free from India's quarantine weed seeds as per Schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003. Exporter must provide a laboratory analysis certificate attesting to the endorsement and to present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.
  • In Addition, visual inspection by the Authorised Officer must be undertaken as per instructional material for endorsing freedom from the following quarantine weed seeds.
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from soil (as per normal tolerances).

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement No 1308)
1) The consignment is free of Pod and stem blight (Phomopsis longicolla), Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Pea cyst nematode (Heterodera goettingiana), Bruchids (Bruchidius spp), Bruchids (Specularis impressithorax), Pea early-browning virus, Pea enation mosaic virus and Pea green mottle virus.
2) The consignment is free from quarantine weed seeds as per schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003,
3) The consignment is free from soil.
