Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 7585:

  • A crop inspection report is required to endorse freedom from Arabis mosaic virus (hop bare-bine) and Zucchini yellow mosaic virus 1.
  • An area freedom certificate is required to endorse freedom from Bacterial fruit blotch (Acidovorax avenae subsp. citrulli).
  • All consignments must be free from India's Quarantine weed seeds as per schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003. Exporter must provide a laboratory analysis certificate attesting to the endorsement and to present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.
  • In Addition, visual inspection by the Authorised Officer must be undertaken as per instructional material for endorsing freedom from the following quarantine weed seeds.

Endorsement 7586:

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 7585)
1) Crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of Arabis mosaic virus (hop bare-bine) and Zucchini yellow mosaic virus 1,
2) Bacterial fruit blotch (Acidovorax avenae subsp. citrulli) is not known to occur in area of production,
3) The consignment is free from quarantine weed seeds.


Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 7586)
1) Crop was inspected during active growth and found to be free of Arabis mosaic virus (hop bare-bine) and Zucchini yellow mosaic virus 1,
2) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Bacterial fruit blotch (Acidovorax avenae subsp. citrulli),
3) The consignment is free from quarantine weed seeds.

Plant Quarantine Order 2003 verified on 6 September 2023.
