Explanation of the endorsement

Endorsement 3240:
  • Celery mosaic virus is not known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from this pest.
  • The exporter must provide a laboratory analysis certificate to endorse freedom from Bacterial soft rot (Pseudomonas viridiflava).

  • The exporter is to provide a crop inspection report to endorse freedom from Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv carotae).

  • All consignments must be free from India's Quarantine weed seeds as per schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003. Exporter must provide a laboratory analysis certificate attesting to the endorsement and to present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.
  • In Addition, visual inspection by the Authorised Officer must be undertaken as per instructional material for endorsing freedom from the following quarantine weed seeds.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

1) Celery mosaic virus is not known to occur in Australia,
2) The consignment is free from Bacterial soft rot (Pseudomonas viridiflava),
3) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Bacterial blight of carrot (Xanthomonas hortorum pv carotae),
4) The consignment is free from quarantine weed seeds as per schedule VIII of PQ order 2003.
