Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Explanation of endorsements

Endorsement 7627:

  • A laboratory analysis certificate or Crop inspection report for Stem and Bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), Sharp eye spot of cereals (Ceratobasidium cereale), Foot rot: cereals (Monographella nivalis), Stagonospora leaf blotch (Phaesophaeria avenaria f.sp. avenaria), Gluje rot (Pseudomonas syringae pv. atrofaciens) and Blossom and shoot blast (Pseudomonas syringae) is required; and
  • Visual inspection may be used for endorsing freedom from Flour mites (Acarus siro), Foreign grain beetle (Ahasverus advena), Flat grain beetle (Crytolestes ferrugineus) and Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile).
  • All consignments must be free from India's quarantine weed seeds as per Schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003. Exporter must provide a laboratory analysis certificate attesting to the endorsement and to present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.
  • In Addition, visual inspection by the Authorised Officer must be undertaken as per instructional material for endorsing freedom from the following quarantine weed seeds.
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from soil (as per normal tolerances).
Endorsement 7658:
  • Visual inspection may be used for endorsing freedom from Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile).
  • All consignments must be free from India's quarantine weed seeds as per Schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003. Exporter must provide a laboratory analysis certificate attesting to the endorsement and to present to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.
  • In Addition, visual inspection by the Authorised Officer must be undertaken as per instructional material for endorsing freedom from the following quarantine weed seeds.
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from soil (as per normal tolerances).

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 7627)

1) The consignment is free from Warehouse beetle (Trogoderma variabile),
2) The consignment is free from quarantine weed seeds as per schedule VIII of PQ Order 2003,
3) The consignment is free from soil.
