Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
, including other growing media, earth, sand and clay.
 
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure the consignment is exported within 14 days of inspection and the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.

Refer to the departure date and inspection date in the Request for Permit.


Explanation of endorsements:
 
Endorsement 3423
  • Applies to plants which are exported in growing / packing media.
  • Evidence to support the endorsement may be laboratory analysis results or treatment of the media.
    Note: Perlite and pumice are not subject to regulatory control as packing media, therefore treatment is not required.
Plants must be bare rooted if not exported in approved growing / packing media.
If plants are exported bare rooted no endorsement is required.
