Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material, including other growing media (including earth, sand and clay).

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Refer to import permit for list of approved growing / packing media.

Plants must be bare rooted if not exported in approved growing / packing media.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Evidence to support the endorsement may be laboratory analysis results or treatment of the media.

Endorsement 3423:

Applies to plants which are exported in an approved growing / packing media.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 3423)
1) The growing / packing medium is considered to be free from plant parasitic organisms
