This ICR is applicable to the following:
  • Adansonia gregorii
  • Adansonia digitata
Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


The plants should be with substrate and without soil, except for a small amount of soil that will be moved along with the plants.

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Consignment must be clearly labelled with its full botanical name (genus and species).

Consignment must be free of quarantine pests:
  • Bark beetles (Ips spp) 
The following quarantine pests are not present in Australia:
  • Asian long horned beetle  (Anaplophora glabripennis)
  • Obliquebanded leafroller (Choristoneura rosaceana) 
  • Gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar L.)
