Explanation of endorsements

Endorsement 1151:

Aapplies only if treatment is undertaken.
Consignments not certified free from Fungus ear rot of corn (Stenocarpella macrospora), Ear rot of corn (Stenocarpella maydis) and Corn smut (Ustilago maydis), are to be treated with one of the followingfungicide combinations, either:

  • Carboxin at 0.8grm a.i. per kg seed and thiram at 0.8grm a.i. per kg seed;

OR

  • Carboxin at 0.8grm a.i. per kg seed and captan at 0.7grm a.i. per kg seed;

OR

  • Fludioxonil at 0.025grm a.i. per kg seed and metalaxyl at 0.03grm a.i. per kg seed;

OR

  • Fludioxonil at 0.025grm a.i. per kg seed and mefenoxam at 0.01grm a.i. per kg seed;

OR

  • Imazalil at 80mg a.i. per kg seed and triadimenol at 220mg a.i. per kg seed;

OR

  • Imazalil at 80mg a.i. per kg seed and flutriafol at 80mg a.i. per kg seed;

OR

  • Difenoconazole at 0.12grm a.i. per kg seed and mefenoxam at 0.01grm a.i. per kg seed.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 901)
1) Leaf freckle (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp nebraskensis), Stewart's disease (Erwinia stewartii), Maize chlorotic mottle virus, Maize dwarf mosaic virus, Maize downy mildew (Peronosclerospora maydis) and Sorghum downy mildew (Peronosclerospora sorghi) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Fungus ear rot of corn (Stenocarpella macrospora), Ear rot of corn (Stenocarpella maydis) and Corn smut (Ustilago maydis).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2042)
1) Leaf freckle (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp nebraskensis), Stewart's disease (Erwinia stewartii), Maize chlorotic mottle virus, Maize dwarf mosaic virus, Maize downy mildew (Peronosclerospora maydis) and Sorghum downy mildew (Peronosclerospora sorghi) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Fungus ear rot of corn (Stenocarpella macrospora), Ear rot of corn (Stenocarpella maydis) and Corn smut (Ustilago maydis).

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 1151)
1) Leaf freckle (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp nebraskensis), Stewart's disease (Erwinia stewartii), Maize chlorotic mottle virus, Maize dwarf mosaic virus, Maize downy mildew (Peronosclerospora maydis) and Sorghum downy mildew (Peronosclerospora sorghi) are not known to occur in Australia.
