Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Consignment must be well dried and not suitable for planting. 

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


To prevent contamination the consignment must be packed in commercial hermetically sealed packages, containers or closed packaging which is clean and free of soil particles, insects or another animal or plant material. 

Consignments must be correctly labelled with its full botanical name (genus and species) and the quantity per species. 

Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


The registered number of the nursery or the name and address of the shipping nursery must be included on the phytosanitary certificate.
Phytosanitary certificatesshould not be issued for plant products that have been processed in such a waythat they have no potential for introducing regulated pests.

Note: The consignment is subjected to visual inspection on arrival.
