Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Seeds must be dry and free from pulp.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Explanation of the endorsements:

Endorsement 4106
  • Pierce's disease (Xylella fastidiosa) and Citrus canker (Xanthomonas axonopodis [campestris] pv citri and Xanthomonas axonopodis [campestris] pv aurantifolii) are known to occur in Australia. No evidence is required to endorse freedom from these pests.
Consignments are to be treated by:
  • Dusting with any suitable fungicide and insecticide at the manufacturers registered label rate;

OR

  • Hot water treatment at 52 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes;

OR

  • Dipping in a disinfecting solution of n-alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride at 1.5 mL/L for 5 minutes;

OR

  • Dipping in an 8-Hydroxyquinoline sulfate solution at the manufacturers registered label rate.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
