Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments certified under endorsement 2657, are to be treated by:

Cold disinfestation, which may be undertaken on-shore or in-transit, at 0.5 degrees Celsius or less for not less than 24 days.

Treatment undertaken in-transit will not be certified on the Phytosanitary certificate.

Fumigation with Methyl bromide at:

  • 48 grm/m3 for 2 hours at a temperature of 10-15 degrees Celsius;

OR

  • 40 grm/m3 for 2 hours at a temperature of 16-21 degrees Celsius;

OR

  • 32 grm/m3 for 2 hours at a temperature of 22-27 degrees Celsius;

OR

  • 24 grm/m3 for 2 hours at a temperature of 28-32 degrees Celsius.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 3290)
1) No fruit flies (Bactrocera spp and Ceratitis capitata) have been found over the past 12 months within an 80km radius of the place where the fruits were produced and packaged, 
2) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Western flower thrip (Frankliniella occidentalis) and Tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2657)
1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Western flower thrip (Frankliniella occidentalis) and Tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci).
