Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Plants must be exported bare-rooted or wrapped in an approved inert media (synthetic moss, perlite, vermiculite, paper, plastic or sphagnum).

The plants must have been planted in pots rasied to at least 40cm of soil. They must have been treated with Phosphonate according to the manufactuers directions.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Appropriate times shall be that when the pest / disease is most prevalent / active.
Official examination may be undertaken by a person has suitable qualifications to perform the inspection and make an official declaration. eg: State Department of Agriculture employee; Department of Primary Industry employee; Crop monitor; Company employed entomologist/pathologists/etc.
Consignments to to be treated by dipping with any suitable fungicide and insecticide at the manufacturers recommended rate.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
