Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


All fresh fruits and vegetables to Fiji must undergo a targeted inspection for fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda). Please refer to the Reference: Pests, diseases and contaminants of horticultural commodities and the Reference: Plant exports guide – Sampling horticulture for information on this pest and conducting a targeted inspection.

Consignments are to be devitalised prior to export.

Treatment is immersion or dipping of the stems of the flowers in a solution of Glyphosate (Roundup) to render the plant material non-propagatable
Rate of application is 1% Glyphosate solution 10ml per litre of water.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
