Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments are to be accompanied by a weed analysis report or seed analysis certificate issued by an ISTA or AOSA accredited laboratory.

Must be packed in new clean packages.
  • Phosphine at 5grms/m3 for 7 days at 25 degrees Celsius;

AND

  • Dusted or coated with Thiram or an equivalent, at recommended manufacturers requirements

OR

  • Fumigated with Methyl bromide at 48grms/m3 for 24 hours at 20-25 degrees Celsius;

AND

  • Dusted or coated with Thiram or an equivalent, at recommended manufacturers requirements

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
