Explanation of endorsements

Endorsement 7746:
  • Visual inspection by the Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse freedom from Fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda).
  • This endorsement applies to commodities that are listed in the List of Commodities as reported potential host of Fall Army Worm. If your import permit states this endorsement is required, please contact Biosecurity Fiji for the List of Fall Army Worm host commodities.
  • This endorsement is not required for an import permit that does not state this additional declaration requirement.
If included as a requirement on the import permit, consignments must be subject to a heat treatment process to ensure the product is ready for consumption.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the department at time of authorisation.

Details of treatment do not require endorsement on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
