Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be accompanied by a weed analysis report or seed analysis certificate (containing the scientific name of each identified species of seed found in the representative sample, record of any unidentified genera or species, weight of sample, certify the absence of quarantine weed seeds) from an ISTA or AOSA accredited laboratory.

The seeds must be certified by Australian Seeds Authority (ASA), with a laboratory report from an accredited ASA laboratory attesting the seeds are free from seed bourne pathogens.
Consignments are to be fumigated with:

Phosphine at 5grm/m3 for 7 days at 25 degrees Celsius; and
Dusted or coated with Thiram or an equivalent, at recommended manufacturers requirements.
OR

Fumigated with Methyl bromide at 24grms / m3 for 24 hours at 20-25 degrees Celsius;
AND
Dusted or coated with Thiram or an equivalent, at recommended manufacturers requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
