Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments are to be accompanied by a manufacturers seed declaration certificate from Agri-Science Queensland, Gatton Research Station, Australia that certifies that the seeds were produced from healthy mother plants under greenhouse conditions at the Department of Primary Industries Post Entry Quarantine Facility, Brisbane, Australia.

The plants must be tested negative by ELISA to Sweet Potato Feathery Mottle Virus (SPMV), Sweet Potato Chlorotic Stunt Virus (SPCSV), Sweet Potato Chlorotic Stunt Virus G (SPVG), Serum Parvovirus-Like Virus (SPLV), Cowpea Mild Mottle Virus (CPMMV), Sweet Potato Chlorotic Fleck Virus (SPCFV), Cytomegalovirus (CMV), Sweet Potato Caulimo-Like Virus (SPCaLV), and PCR for Begamo virus (SPLV and Phytoplasmas).
Consignments are to be dusted/treated with:
  • Tetramethylthiurm Disulphide (TMTD) 80% according to manufacturer's label requirement;

OR

  • 35% Metalxyl according to manufacturer's label requirement.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
