ICR is applicable to the following turf grass species:
  • Cynodon transvaalensis x Cynodon dactylon
Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Consignments must not be packed in hay, straw, chaff, ect. Nor any decomposing material.

Consignments must be correctly labelled with it's full botanical name (genus and species).

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Note:
The turf must be bare-rooted. 

The couch grass must be treated with a broad-spectrum insecticide and fungicide (at manufacturers recommended rate) against the pest of concern stated above, at least seven days prior to harvest and export. 

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 7982)
1) The grass in this consignment has been sourced from a field free from dollar spot (Clarireedia jacksonii), grey leaf spot (Pyricularia grisea), Drechslera (Drechslera spp leaf spot),  Curvularia, (Curvularia spp), Bipolaris (Bipolaris spp) and Rust infection (Puccinia spp).
2) The grass in this consignment has been sourced from a field free of the southern sting nematode (Ibipora lolii).

3) The grass in this consignment has been sourced from a field free of lawn armyworm (Spodoptera mauritia) and adult black beetle (Heteronychus arator).
4) The grass in this consignment has been inspected and found to be bare-rooted.
