Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments are to be accompanied by a weed analysis report or seed analysis certificate.
Consignments are to be fumigated with:

  • Phosphine at 5grm/m3 for 7 days at 25 degrees Celsius;

AND

  • Dusted or coated with Thiram or an equivalent, at recommended manufacturers requirements

OR

  • Fumigated with Methyl bromide at 24grms / m3 for 24 hours at 20-25 degrees Celsius;

AND

  • Dusted or coated with Thiram or an equivalent, at recommended manufacturers requirements

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Details of treatment are to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section
