Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

 

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


The import permit must include a list of approved species.
 

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.

Exporter is to ensure any packaging material used is not hay, straw, chaff, or any decomposing material.

This Micor case applies to bagged goods with below ingredients:
 

  • Italian Soup Mix Premium: Borlotti Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris), Chickpeas (Cicer arietinum), Blackeye Beans (Vigna unguiculata), Great Northern Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris), Yellow Split Peas (Pisum sativum), Green Split Peas (Pisum sativum), Red Split Lentils (Lens culinaris), Whole Green Lentils (Lens culinaris) and Red Kidney Beans (Phaselous vulgaris).
  • Soup Mix Premium: Pearl Barley (Hordeum vulgare), Yellow Split Peas (Pisum sativum), Green Split Peas (Pisum sativum) and Red Split Lentils (Lens culinaris).
  • 5 Blend Soup Mix - contains Pearl Barley (Hordeum vulgare), Green Split Peas (Pisum sativum), Yellow Split Peas (Pisum sativum), Green Lentils (Lens culinaris) and Red Lentils (Lens culinaris).
     
  • 7 Blend Soup Mix - contains Green Split Peas (Pisum sativum), Mung Beans (Vigna radiata), Yellow Split Peas (Pisum sativum), White Kidney Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris), Green Lentils (Lens culinaris), Red Lentils (Lens culinaris), Borlotti Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris).

Explanation of the endorsements 

Endorsement 3009:

  • Applies to consignments containing goods that have been imported into Australia, re-packaged (but have not undergone further processing and are not re-labelled as Australian products) and exported to Fiji, and imported goods being re-exported in the original packaging as part of a mixed consignment of Australian and imported products. 
  • This Endorsement must be included for all goods of non-Australian origin which meet the above criteria (i.e. re-packaged and exported with no further processing, or re-exported in original packaging as part of a mixed consignment of Australian and imported products) regardless of additional declaration requirements specifically stated on the import permit.   
  • Exporter is to:

  • State the country of origin of the goods in the Additional Product Description, and

  • Provide a copy of the departmental document titled 'Release from biosecurity control' which contains the 'Final Directives: Finalised and Released' direction that was issued for the products after arrival and release in Australia to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection, and upload a scanned copy of this document to PEMS before requesting authorisation.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

If required by the import permit, consignments must be subjected to some form of high heat process (e.g. hulled, dried, roasted or dehydrated) prior to export. 

The exporter is to provide a packer's declaration or a manufacturer's declaration attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Details of treatment do not require endorsement in the treatment section of the phytosanitary certificate.

1) The goods have fully complied with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry import requirements and standards and are allowed to be retailed in Australia.
