Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Explanation of the endorsements:

Endorsement 558:
  • A laboratory analysis report is required to endorse freedom from Crown and root rot (Phytophthora cinnamomi) and Guava rust (Puccinia psidii).
Endorsement 3006:
  • Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient for endorsing freedom from soil
Endorsement 5590:

For Eucalyptus camaldulensis seed, seeds need to be treated with one of the following fungicides at label rates:
  • Azoxystrobin and Cyproconazole
  • Mancozeb
  • Propiconazole
  • Tebuconazole
  • Triadimenol 
  • Tebuconazole and Trifloxystrobin
  • Propiconazole and Cryproconazole
  • Prothioconazole and Tebuconazole
Alternatively, the exporter may provide a laboratory PCR testing certificate certifying freedom from the following pests:
  • Austropuccinia psidii
  • Calonectria reteaudii
  • Kirramyces viscidus
  • Phytophthora cryptogea
  • Teratosphaeria epicoccoides
Either a treatment certificate attesting to use of one of the above nominated compounds or a testing certificate attesting freedom from the above pests must be provided to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection.

If endorsement 5590 is used, seeds may be treated with one of the following at approved label rates:

  • Azoxystrobin and Cyproconazole
  • Mancozeb
  • Propiconazole
  • Tebuconazole
  • Triadimenol 
  • Tebuconazole and Trifloxystrobin
  • Propiconazole and Cryproconazole
  • Prothioconazole and Tebuconazole

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

If a PCR test is being used for endorsement 5590, or if another endorsement is being used, no treatment evidence is required and no treatment details to be endorsed in the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 558)
1) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Crown and root rot (Phytophthora cinnamomi) and Guava rust (Puccinia psidii).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 3006)
1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of natural soil.

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 5590)
1) Using official procedures the seed was found free from stated quarantine pests and seed transmitted diseases,
2) A representative sample was inspected and found free of natural soil.
