Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Seeds are to be treated as per the Treatment Section below for the following pathogens:

  • Peronospora farinosa f.sp. betae
  • Chaetomium globosum
  • Curvularia spicifera
  • Colletotrichum dematium
  • Colletotrichum dematium f.sp. spinaciae
  • Phoma betae
  • Ramularia betae
Seeds must be disinfected prior to export with Fludioxonil 2.5% + Metalaxyl-M 1% -FS, in the dose of 2 ml/kg of seed or other product of similar action in suitable doses.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

1) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free from Sugar beet leaf spot (Pseudomonas syringae pv. aptata), Tumbleweed (Amaranthus albus), Field dodder (Cuscuta campestris), European dodder (Cuscuta europea), Sun spurge (Euphorbia helioscopia), Common heliotrope (Heliotropium europaeum), Hoary cress (Lepidium draba), Wild mustard (Sinapsis arvensis), Field pennycress (Thlaspi arvense), Common cocklebur (Xanthium strumarium), Arabis mosaic virus (AMV), Beet 1 alphacryptovirus (BCV-1), Beet 2 alphacryotovirus (BCV-2) and Tobacco rattle virus (TRV).
